This site is deliberately incurious about you. It sells books; it does not build a picture of the people who read them. Here is exactly what that means.
What we collect
Anonymous usage analytics, and nothing else. When a page opens or a link is clicked, the site records what happened — which page, which book, which button — with a random session id and the time.
That session id is generated in your browser, lives only in the current tab, and is gone when you close it. It is not a cookie, it is not shared, and it is never attached to a name, an email address or an account.
Your IP address, your device and your browser are not stored alongside these events. You are never asked for a name, an address or a phone number, because nothing here needs one.
Why we collect it
To see which books people are drawn to, where attention is lost, and which parts of the site are confusing — and then to fix them.
It is not used to target advertising, and it is not sold or shared.
No third-party tracking
There is no Google Analytics here, no advertising pixel, no tag manager and no session recorder. The analytics are first-party: they run on this site’s own server, and every number is a plain count.
Payments
Books bought as PDFs are paid for through Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe’s own payment form and go to Stripe — not here.
This site never sees or stores your full card details. Stripe handles that information under its own privacy policy and security practices.
When a payment completes, Stripe notifies this site and a purchase record is kept so your download can be unlocked. That record holds the payment’s reference number, which book it was for, the amount, and the date — and deliberately not your name, email address or anything else about you, even though Stripe sends them.
Unlocking a download also sets one short-lived cookie so the page still works if you reload it. It holds a random value, lasts about thirty minutes, and is used for nothing else.
Amazon
Some books are sold on Amazon. Following one of those links takes you off this site, and from that point the purchase, the payment and the account are Amazon’s, under Amazon’s own terms and privacy policy.
Other services
Where this site relies on an outside service, that service handles whatever reaches it under its own policies. The list is kept short on purpose.
How long it is kept
Analytics events delete themselves automatically after about thirteen months.
Purchase records are kept for as long as the book remains downloadable — they are what proves you bought it, so deleting one would take your book away.
There is nothing to request the deletion of that identifies you, because nothing stored here does.
Only what is needed
Only what basic analytics and the running of the site require is collected. Where a question can be answered with an anonymous count, that is what is kept.
